We are thrilled to announce that Bosky Strings has officially moved into our new location at 3906 S. Jackson Rd., Suite C, Edinburg, Texas. This has been a long time coming, and we could not be more excited to finally open the doors and welcome the community into a space that was designed with musicians in mind from the ground up.
Why We Moved
Our previous space served us well for years, but as the shop grew, so did the need for more room. We found ourselves running out of wall space for instruments, working in tight quarters for repairs, and scheduling lessons around each other in ways that were not ideal for students or instructors. The move was not about leaving something behind. It was about making room for everything we want to offer going forward.
What the New Space Offers
The new facility gives us significantly more square footage, and we have put every bit of it to use. The retail area is larger and better organized, making it easier to browse instruments, bows, cases, strings, and accessories. Our repair workshop now has dedicated bench space and better lighting, which allows us to take on more involved restoration projects alongside routine setups and adjustments. We also have a proper area for instrument evaluations, so customers who bring in violins, violas, or cellos for assessment can have a thorough, unhurried conversation about the condition and potential of their instrument.
Music Education Under One Roof
One of the most meaningful improvements is the dedicated space for music instruction. We have always believed that a violin shop should be more than just a place to buy and fix instruments. It should be a place where musicians can grow. With the new location, we can offer private lessons and small group instruction without the space constraints we dealt with before. Students now have a quieter, more focused environment for their lessons, and parents have a comfortable area to wait. It brings our vision of combining retail, repair, and education under one roof closer to reality than ever.
Grateful for the Community
Transitions are never easy, and this one was no exception. There were weeks of planning, packing, transporting delicate instruments, and setting up the new space while still trying to serve our customers. The support we received from the Rio Grande Valley community during that process meant the world to us. Customers who were patient with adjusted hours, friends who helped with the physical move, and fellow musicians who spread the word about our new address all played a part in making this happen.
